At a bar 3

por Scarlett

Clase de inglés tú aprendes ahora on the street at a bar (en la calle en un bar). Last class we were deciding what to drink (en la clase pasada estabamos decidiendo que beber). If I'm not wrong you'd like to have an orange juice, right? (si no estoy equivocado te gustaría beber un jugo de naranja, cierto?). No whiskey, no vodka, orange juice (whisky no, vodka no, jugo de naranja). Hello (hola). Nice to meet you (un placer conocerte). Do you have orange juice? (tienes jugo de naranja?). Lemonade?  (limonada?). One orange juice and one lemonade, please (un jugo de naranja y una limonada, por favor). One orange and one lemonade (uno de naranja y una limonada). Thank you very much (muchas gracias). What did we order? (qué pedimos?). Orange juice and lemonade (jugo de naranja y limonada). You can order a lot of other things (tú puedes pedir muchas otras cosas). Water (agua). Sparkling water (agua con gas). The water with gas is called sparkling water (el agua con gas es llamada espumeante). Soft drinks (bebidas sin alcohol). The regular ones (las normales). Coca-Cola. Pepsi. Lemonade (limonada). Sprite, 7Up. Besides that you have the alcoholic drinks (además de esto, tienes las bebidas alcohólicas). I don't drink alcohol but if you do, no problem (yo no bebo alcohol, pero si tú bebes, no hay problema). Vodka. Whiskey, Scotch (whisky). Absinthe (absinto). I don't recommend these 3 options (yo no recomiendo estas tres opciones). If you want your beverage with ice you normally don't say "with ice" (si quieres tu bebida con hielo normalmente no dices "con hielo"). You say "on the rocks" (tú dices "en las rocas"). They're rocks of ice (ellas son piedras de hielo). Please, can you give me sparkling water with on the rocks? (por favor, puedes darme un agua con gas con hielo?). On the rocks = with ice (en las rocas = con hielo). These are the beverages (estas son las bebidas). You can use the vocabulary we've learnt to ask (tú puedes usar el vocabulario que hemos aprendido para pedir). What kind of juice do you want? (que tipo de jugo quieres?). Orange juice? (jugo de naranja?). Lemonade? (limonada?). Passionfruit juice? ) (judo de maracuya). Strawberry? (frutillla/fresa?). Up to you (tú eres quien sabe). What's your favorite juice? (cúal es tu jugo preferido?). I hope you wanted orange juice (espero que quieras jugo de naranja). See you next class!
